A 38-year-old California man was killed Saturday when he was ejected from his car during a rollover on U.S. 95 about 100 miles northwest of Las Vegas, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
Brent Hilz was killed after his car went off the right shoulder, over-corrected, spun out of control, left the roadway and flipped in the desert, Trooper Angie Wolff, NHP spokeswoman, said.
Hilz was not wearing his seatbelt, Wolff said. He was dead at the scene.
The car came to a stop on its roof in the desert, Wolff said.
