Letter: Ensign’s loyalties are questioned
Tuesday, May 27, 2003 | 8:54 a.m.
Our Sen. John Ensign was really active the past few weeks. He was one of three senators against a popular measure that included an extra $78 million in federal funds for Nevada. His reason was that "he felt that in a time when the government is in a deficit situation, that it was irresponsible to add to that."
A couple of days later, while in Miami, he states that he has introduced a bill that would authorize the State Department to spend up to $50 million on projects in Cuba.
Who is Sen. Ensign representing?
