Benefit concert
Six bands will perform to raise money for the Shade Tree Shelter from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Smoothie King, 8502 W. Lake Mead Blvd. Tickets are $5. 639-6366.
Brubeck brothers
Chris and Dan Brubeck, sons of composer Dave Brubeck, will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday at City Park at the corner of 4th Street and Stewart Avenue. The concert is free. 229-6704.
Orchestra
Jimmy Wilkins, a bandleader for decades in both Las Vegas and his home town of Detroit, will perform with his "New Life Orchestra" at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Clark County Government Center Ampitheater, 500 S. Grand Central Pkwy. Admission is free. 455-8200.
Concert
The Desert Chorale will hold its annual Memorial Weekend Concert at 7:30 p.m. today at Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall on the UNLV campus. Admission is free. 895-2787.
Christian band
Christian band Jericho Road will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall on the UNLV campus. Tickets are $10 for the balcony and $12 for the main floor. 895-2787.
Lunchtime concerts
The Las Vegas Legacy Band, playing '30s and '40s big-band swing music, continues the "Next Friday" series of free lunchtime concerts from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at City Park at 4th Street and Stewart Avenue. 229-4614.
Amateur night
The Beach is now hosting a "Local Band Night" at 9 p.m. every Thursday at 365 Convention Center Drive. The event is free for both participating bands and patrons. 731-1925.
Dance
Mexico Vivo
Las Vegas dance company Mexico Vivo presents a new production, "Mosaics," at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Tickets are $7 general and $5 for seniors and students. 455-7340.
Theater
'Hello, Dolly!'
The Rosel Seastrand Arts foundation presents "Hello Dolly!" at 7 p.m. Thursday at Cheyenne High School, 3200 W. Alexander Road. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for seniors or students. Proceeds benefit James Seastrand's Helping Hands of North Las Vegas. 649-8853.
'Garden'

'Dinner'

'Lovers'
