Tastes of Nation planned Wednesday
The organization, Share Our Strength, will present its 11th annual Tastes of the Nation from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The event will showcase cuisine from local restaurants including Spago, Rosemary's, Commander's Palace, Malibu Chan's, Sammy's Woodfired Pizza and more.
Tickets are $50; $60 at the door. To purchase tickets, call 943-6868 or visit one of these Lee's Discount Liquor Stores: 3480 E. Flamingo Road; 9110 Las Vegas Blvd. South; 1780 S. Parenting class set at women's center
A class on parenting your spirited child will be offered from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Barbara Greenspun Womens- Care Center of Excellence, 100 N. Green Valley Parkway, Suite No. 330.
The class will show parents techniques for dealing with children who are more spirited or energetic.

Leave No Trace,
a program that will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, will feature how to use and enjoy your favorite parks and outdoor resources. For more information, call 875-4141.

These locations will host blood drives next week for United Blood Services, 6930 W. Charleston Blvd.:
Monday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Findlay Toyota, 925 Auto Show Drive, Henderson.
Tuesday: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., GC Wallace, 1555 S. Rainbow Blvd.; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Bill Heard Chevrolet, 444 S. Decatur Blvd.
Wednesday: 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Roberts Elementary School, 227 Charter Oaks St., Henderson.
May 30: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Cowan Academic Center, 5300 E. Russell Road.
May 31: 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd.; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., University United Methodist Church, 4412 S. Maryland Parkway; 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Way.
