System installed at The Rio

The Rio hotel-casino has contracted with a Las Vegas company to install a computerized polling system that gathers information on the hotel convention staff's handling of meetings and trade shows.
TouchPoll Las Vegas LLC has installed its touch-screen survey system at The Rio Pavillion Convention Center. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Kim Rolston, president of TouchPoll Las Vegas, said the system enables The Rio's convention and catering departments to receive immediate responses on performance with a higher response rate than with mailed written surveys.
Rolston said the system guides respondents through a series of questions about customer service. The system contains 77 questions, but respondents won't see many of them, depending on the response they give to earlier questions.
Survey results can be reviewed immediately, Rolston said, and the results are more accurate because meeting planners have concerns fresh in their minds.
