MLB snap shot

The Boone brothers, Aaron (Cincinnati) and Bret (Seattle), deserve honorable mention as they have smacked a combined 23 home runs this season. When's the book comin' out, Bob?
Kansas City lost for the fifth time in six games Sunday to drop to 24-18. That's when Minnesota beat the White Sox to improve to 25-18 and take sole possession of first place in the AL Central for the first time this season.
It gets worse for Royals fans -- the next 12 are against Seattle and Oakland.
Oops. It was only the second out. Bengie Molina scored, as did two other Angels, eventually, in Anaheim's 6-2 victory. Will Red Sox fans pardon Nixon?
The Red Sox have finished second to the Yankees in the division for the past five years. That's nothing new, since no team has experienced the wrath of the pinstriped dynasty, especially from the '20s through the '60s, more than Boston.
The only time the Red Sox have won back-to-back division titles was in 1915-16. Some patterns take a century to alter.
