PUC finalizes rate ruling

After a series of delays and a debates, the state Public Utilities Commission on Tuesday gave its final approved on a $47 million disallowance in Nevada Power Co.'s rate case.
The vote will allow the Las Vegas electric company to recover $148.3 million in costs spent serving customers from October 2001 to September 2002. The company had requested the recovery of $195 million.
