Lyndon Evans, deputy commissioner for the Las Vegas office of the state Financial Institutions Division, retired last week.
Scott Walshaw, division commissioner, said Evans had been with the department for about six years.
Daily operations of the Las Vegas office will be guided by supervisory examiners Paul Ashworth and Sherm Ludwig, Walshaw said. Additional duties will be assumed by Walshaw and Reno-based Deputy Commissioner Larry Hickman.
A search for a successor is under way, Walshaw said.
