Freddie Brown

Freddie Brown, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 14, 1932, in Sondheimer, La. A resident for 48 years, he was an automobile detailer.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary; one daughter, Gloria Ann Simpson of Las Vegas; one brother, Eddie Brown of Louisiana; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be noon Saturday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Robert William Carey

Robert William Carey, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 10, 1936, in Mexico, Maine. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired chef and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Leticia G.; three sons, Mark, Brett and Sean; one daughter, Angelina Marie Marcus; and one sister, Helena Martin.

Adelaida H. Castillo

Adelaida H. Castillo, 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 5, 1936, in Lemery, Batangas, Philippines. A resident for five years, she was a retired nuclear coordinator for a public utility company.

She is survived by her husband, Teodoro V.; four sons, Joji Castillo of Duluth, Ga., Wayne Castillo of Mission, Texas, Noel Castillo of Las Vegas and Carlo Castillo of Chicago; one daughter, Fatima Castillo of Oak Park, Ill.; two sisters, Violeta Cruz and Yolanda Hackney, both of New York City; one brother, Roger Marasigan of Vallejo, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will follow at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

Jennifer Ducksworth

Jennifer Ducksworth, 44, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1958, in Laurel, Miss. A resident for 21 years, she was a hotel guest-room attendant.

She is survived by two daughters, Candice Ducksworth and Raquel Ducksworth, both of Las Vegas; her mother, Willie Ducksworth of Laurel; two brothers, Donald Ray and Terry Ducksworth, both of Las Vegas; three sisters, Bobbie Darby of Laurel, Mavis Ducksworth of Detroit and Tracy Ducksworth of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in New Bethel Baptist Church, 400 W. Adams Ave. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Vivienne M. Fellows

Vivienne M. Fellows, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 17, 1916, in West Hoboken, N.J. A resident for six years, she was a retired secretary for a manufacturing firm and a member of Belleair Bee's community service group in Florida.

She is survived by one daughter, Betty C. Calman of North Las Vegas; one son, Paul G. Wollerman of Wayne, N.J.; and three grandchildren.

Charles A. Fournier

Charles A. Fournier, 87, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born March 20, 1916, in Massachusetts. A resident for 14 years, he was an airplane mechanic for General Dynamics, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1753.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; four sons, Clifton Fournier of Oregon, James Smith of Las Vegas, Dale Smith of California and Johnnie Lee Smith of West Virginia; two daughters, Linda LaMasters of Indiana and Betty Jane Hercules of West Virginia; two brothers, Roland Fournier and Anthony Fournier, both of Medford, Mass.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-6 p.m. Friday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Charles William Holmes Jr.

Charles William Holmes Jr., 93, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born July 24, 1909, in Janesville, Wis. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired U.S. Postal Service clerk.

He is survived by one son, Jack Holmes of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 7 p.m. Friday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.

Dean Jackson

Dean Jackson, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 2, 1925, in Bidville, Ark. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired plant manager for a paint and varnish company, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Fern; one son, Dean Jackson of Las Vegas; one sister, Alpha Johnston of Ozark, Ark.; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

Mary Kathryne W. Jones

Mary Kathryne W. Jones, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Sept. 26, 1917, in Charleston, W.Va. A resident for 22 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by five sons, Kent Williams and Johnny Jones, both of Las Vegas, George Jones Jr. of Inglewood, Calif., Roger Jones of Ontario, Calif., and Anthony Jones of Stockton, Calif.; four daughters, Shirley Jones Calhoun of Washington, D.C., Jennifer Johnson of Chino Hills, Calif., Mary Ellen Jones of Martha's Vineyard, Mass., and Margaret Woody of Las Vegas; one sister, Edith Rodman of North Carolina; 33 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Johnny Dale Koehler

Johnny Dale Koehler, 52, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 6, 1950, in Idaho. A resident for 10 years, he was a journeyman electrician and a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 357.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Theresa; two daughters, Jennifer and Kimberlee; his father, John Koehler; one brother, Douglas Koehler; and two sisters, Cathy Edgar and Jeannie Koehler.

Ernest D. Lorenzetti

Ernest D. Lorenzetti, 58, of Henderson died Sunday in a local convalescent center. He was born Jan. 5, 1945, in South San Francisco. A resident for five years, he was an electrician for a computer company.

He is survived by two sisters, Sheila Anderson of Henderson and Kathy Compton of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Lighthouse Baptist Church, 975 American Pacific Drive, Henderson. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.. is handling arrangements.

James Glen Morgan

James Glen Morgan, 89, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 12, 1914, in Royal, Ark. A resident for five years, he was a building contractor and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by one son, Norman Morgan; one brother, Tom Morgan; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be in St. Louis. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

James Leroy Nelson

James Leroy Nelson, 61, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 2, 1941, in Kansas. A resident for 43 years, he was an iron worker and a member of Iron Workers Local 416 for 35 years.

He is survived by two sons, James Scott and Jon; two daughters, Judy of California and Donna; one sister, Sharon Jean; and five grandchildren.

Nicola Marsha Nelson

Nicola Marsha Nelson, 29, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 30, 1974, in London. A resident for 24 years, she was a nail technician.

She is survived by one daughter, Octayvia Sayles of Henderson; two brothers, Julian Nelson of Henderson and Anthony Nelson of Las Vegas; and one sister, Paula Davis of Las Vegas.

Delilah B. Simmons 'D.B.' Outram

Delilah B. Simmons "D.B." Outram, 84, of Utah died Sunday in Utah. She was born Aug. 21, 1918, in Burley, Idaho. A former Las Vegas resident for six years, she was a California college professor for 35 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Laraine Hope Bowden Nickel and Jennie Outram; one brother, Clarence "C.D."Simmons; two sisters, Eileen Sherren and Hope Richards; and four grandchildren; one foster daughter, Gisele Draney, and Gisele's four children, Cameron, David, Michelle and Dallin.

No local services are scheduled. All services will be in Utah. Deseret Memorial Mortuary, Salt Lake City, is handling arrangements.

M. Lillian Rice

M. Lillian Rice, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. She was born March 15, 1925, in Fitchburg, Mass. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired manufacturing supervisor for an eye wear company.

She is survived by her husband, Herman Jr.; one son, Wayne Moison of Las Vegas; two daughters, Sharon Talix of Las Vegas and Debra Salerno of Townsend, Mass.; three stepdaughters, Linda Miller of Englewood, Fla., Paula Kelly of Lunenburg, Fla., and Karen Franklin of Fitchburg; one brother, Lt. Col. Henry LeBouf, Ret., USMC, and Arline Ouellette of Fitchburg; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Troy Allen Roshon, 39, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 11, 1963, in San Diego. A resident for seven years, he was a restaurant manager.

He is survived by two daughters, Kayla Prince and Mary Scott, both of Las Vegas; his father, Richard Roshon of San Diego; his mother, Marlene Maxwell of Smyrna, Del.; and two brothers, Russell Roshon of Las Vegas and Walt Roshon of Smyrna.

Dorothy Skelton, 92, of Pahrump died Wednesday in Pahrump. She was born July 13, 1910, in Dow City, Iowa. A resident for 12 years, she owned and operated the Double D Bar and Grill in Waterloo, Neb.

She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Kurez of Las Vegas and Marianne Hybarger of Pahrump; nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in United Methodist Church, Pahrump. A Las Vegas burial date is pending. Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road, Pahrump, is handling arrangements.

Frank J. Soria

Frank J. Soria, 68, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 28, 1935, in Salinas, Calif. A resident for six years, he was a city government parks supervisor.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons, Frank J. Soria Jr. of Salinas, David Soria of Medford, Ore., and Edward Soria of Danville, Calif.; three brothers, Fred Soria, Carlos Soria and Ruldolfo Soria, and one sister, Victoria Soria, all of Salinas; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

William Herbert Steidel

William Herbert Steidel, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 26, 1922, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A resident for 32 years, he was a golf club maker and a World War II Canadian Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Dennis Steidel of Las Vegas and Robert Steidel of Vancouver, British Columbia; one sister, Audrey Dalgetty of Victoria, British Columbia; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

John Frederick Thomas

John Frederick Thomas, 54, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 4, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio. A resident for four years, he was a carpenter contractor and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marcella; one son, John "J. Tea" Thomas Jr. of Nevada; one daughter, Janella Hendricks of North Carolina; three brothers, Jimmy Banner, Gary Banner and Bernard Thomas, and two sisters, Mary Wilson and Bertha Thomas, all of Ohio; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
