Mother-daughter look-alikes sought
Cinnamon Girl, a Hawaii-based women's and girl's clothing boutique, is seeking contestants for a mother-daughter look-alike competition that will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Great Hall at the Fashion Show, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
The competition is open to mothers with daughters ages 12 and younger.
To enter, submit a photo of mother and daughter with day-time phone number to Cinnamon Girl, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Suite 1565, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
Candlelighters will host 5K and walk
Candlelighters for Childhood Cancer of Southern Nevada will hold its 13th annual 5K and 1-mile Fun Run/Walk at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at Cashman Field, 850 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
The event is again in memory of Jared Barney and Jason York, both of whom are Candlelighter angel children who lost their battles with childhood cancer.

Architects to hold benefit golf event
The Las Vegas Chapter of the American Institute of Architects will host its 30th annual golf tournament at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Spanish Trail.
The event has become one of the organization's largest annual fund-raisers, and allows the chapter to provide educational and charitable programs for AIA members and the public, including community outreach, scholarships and awards.

Gun, knife show set for Cashman
The Las Vegas Gun and Knife Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Cashman Center, 850 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Qualified firearms dealers will be available to give appraisals. Antique weapon collectors will be offering their expertise in appraising your old and rare firearm.
