StumbleRebels’ Luca earns MWC weekly honor

UNLV freshman Matt Luca was named the Mountain West Conference pitcher of the week. It was the second time he had earned the award this season.
Luca picked up a victory over San Diego State last week after holding the Aztecs scoreless in five innings pitched. He allowed four hits, while striking out five as he improved to 4-0 on the season.
Meanwhile, the Rebels moved to No. 16 in the latest Baseball America poll.
