Tuesday, May 6, 2003 | 9:51 a.m.
Top-ranked heavyweight contender Vitali Klitschko will fight Lennox Lewis for the WBC title at the latest in December, Klitschko's promoter said Monday.
The fight had been announced for April by promoter Klaus-Peter Kohl several months ago but never took place.
Klitschko, 31-1 with 31 knockouts, is the No. 1 contender by the WBC and WBA. He has won his last six bouts, including stopping Larry Donald in the 10th round last Nov. 23 in Germany.
