ATLANTIC CITY -- Park Place Entertainment Corp. officials said they plan to reopen an Atlantic City pier late next year or in early 2005, rather than in a year, the Press of Atlantic City reported, citing company Chief Executive Officer Wallace Barr.
The redevelopment of the Shops on Ocean One should begin this week, the newspaper said. Park Place wants to convert the pier into an $80 million themed retail attraction.
