Elizabeth B. Barbin

Elizabeth B. Barbin, 95, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born Feb. 12, 1908, in New Orleans. A resident for six years, she was a dental assistant.

She is survived by one sister, Irene Pablo of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled from noon until a 2 p.m. service Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Edgar Dewayne Beatty

Edgar Dewayne Beatty, 61, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 29, 1941, in Missouri. A resident for 20 years, he was a factory worker and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; four daughters, SueAnn Waldon, Cindy Buckboy, Judy Maxwell and Jerri Pessetto; four brothers, Glen Beatty, Dean Beatty, Roger Beatty and Bobby Purte; and 10 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Sunday in the Paradise Seventh Day Adventist Church, 4575 Sandhill Road. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Carlo V. Boccadoro

Carlo V. Boccadoro, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 5, 1930, in New York City. A resident for one year, he was a Dunlop Tire and Rubber Corp. sales executive and a Korean War Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Loretta; three sons, Charles Boccadoro of Long Beach, Calif., and Vito Boccadoro and Stephen Boccadoro, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Regina Byrnes of Newington, Conn.; one sister, Tina Ryan of Yonkers, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Sunday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Catherine Lorraine Bodan

Catherine Lorraine Bodan, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 23, 1927, in Chicago. A resident for 25 years, she was a telephone operator.

She is survived by one daughter, Fern Johnson of Las Vegas; two sons, Donald Bodan of Chicago and John Bodan of Wheeling, Ill.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A private burial will follow.

Shirley Caffin

Shirley Caffin, 79, of Las Vegas died April 21 in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Jan. 22, 1924, in New York.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Florida. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Robert A. Corry

Robert A. Corry, 58, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 4, 1944, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a maintenance engineer and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Tammy Simpson and Tracy Corry, one son, Robert Todd Corry, and one sister, Patty Gilmore, all of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be one hour prior to a 12:30 p.m. service Friday in Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1. Burial will follow at 1:20 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

M. Virginia Downsbrough

M. Virginia Downsbrough, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 10, 1916, in Baltimore. A resident for three months, she was a schoolteacher for 55 years.

She is survived by two sons, Anthony Downsbrough of Las Vegas and Peter Downsbrough of Brussels, Belgium; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Helen Fiske

Dorothy Helen Fiske, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 4, 1930, in Michigan. A resident for three years, she was a retired waitress.

She is survived by two sons, Edward John Pettit and Larry Lee Pettit; and one brother, John Haworth.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private services.

Nicholas Frankos

Nicholas Frankos, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A computer analyst and an Army veteran, he was born Sept. 24, 1923, in Vallejo, Calif.

He is survived by two daughters, Kali Frankos and Tina Frankos, both of Los Angeles; one brother, Jim Frankos of Las Vegas; one sister, Virginia Howard of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Graveside services were scheduled at 9:20 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Arthur Friedland

Arthur Friedland, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born June 3, 1919, in New York. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired jeweler, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Schiller Mason Lodge in Denver, Jewish War Veterans Post 711, Lions Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothea; one son, Gary Friedland of Las Vegas; two daughters, Jeryl Budoff of Phoenix and Patrice Tripoli of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be noon Friday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Steven T. Jedrzejczyk

Steven T. Jedrzejczyk, 57, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A spotter, he was born Feb. 19, 1946, in Germany.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta; two daughters, Tricia Rogge of Las Vegas and Jennifer Gouwens of Illinois; one son, Robert Jedrzejczyk, and his mother, Longenia Jedrzejczyk, both of Illinois; three brothers, Jerry Jedrzejczyk of Illinois, Tony Jedrzejczyk of Wisconsin and Stanley Jedrzejczyk of Indiana; three sisters, Jane Wojcik and Diane Castleberry, both of Texas, and Liz Wurinaris of Illinois; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Guardian Angel Cathedral, 302 E. Desert Inn Road. Burial will be in Illinois. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Anthony T. Medina

Anthony T. Medina, 66, of Las Vegas died April 16 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 5, 1936, in Kansas City, Kan. A resident for 25 years, he was a landscaper for 20 years and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his companion, Bobbie Medina; two daughters, Carrie Lee Jones of California and Andrea Lynn Bassett of Florida; one son, Michael Joseph Green of Mississippi; three sisters, Lola Zaremba and Lucia Bergstrom, both of Illinois, and Rosaria Stiles of California; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas. A gathering will follow at the Cabana Mobile Home Park Clubhouse, 5303 E. Twain Ave. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Alice S. Nelligan

Alice S. Nelligan, 82, of Las Vegas died April 21 in Las Vegas. She was born June 2, 1920, in Chicago. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Bentel of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. May 8 at St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

James Louis Remmer

James Louis Remmer, 76, of Las Vegas died April 12 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 9, 1926, in Cincinnati. A resident for 43 years, he was a Clark County deputy sheriff, Clark County health inspector, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Las Vegas Skydivers and Parachute Club of America.

He is survived by one son, Kenneth L. Remmer of Hermiston, Ore.; two daughters, Jeri Pinebird of Las Vegas and Jackie Remmer of New Lenox, Ill.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Helen L. Smoot

Helen L. Smoot, 81, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 6, 1921, in Circleville, Utah. A resident for 46 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the 4H Club and a leader of Future Homemakers of America.

He is survived by four daughters, Edna Juanita Westby of Las Vegas, Aurella Goodale and Janice L. Neilson, both of Henderson, and Helen Price of Hurricane, Utah; one brother, Frank Lewis of Circleville; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Friday in Arrow Head LDS chapel. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Edwina Savilla Long Stewart

Edwina Savilla Long Stewart, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 7, 1921, in Roswell, Ga. A resident for 41 years, she was a homemaker and provided service to the Women's Relief Society Organization.

She is survived by four daughters, Georgenia Stewart, Roxie Stewart Sorensen, Susan Stewart and Nancy Stewart Sundell, and one son, Kenneth Stewart, all of Las Vegas; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 8:30-9:30 a.m. Friday followed by a 10 a.m. service in the LDS Meadows 1 Ward, 5800 Carl Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Alamo Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Lucy Tamilio

Lucy Tamilio, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 13, 1934, in Montreal. A resident for three years, she was a retired hospital data processor.

She is survived by her husband, Pat; one son, Robert Tamilio of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Theresa Tozzi of Montreal and Josey Cristofaro and Lydia Devito, both of Laval, Quebec.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Trinity Life Center, 1000 E. St. Louis Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Willie L. Tate

Willie L. Tate, 71, of North Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 4, 1931, in Gilmer, Texas. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired Army first sergeant.

He is survived by his wife, Elvita; two daughters, Jackie McFarland of Lancaster, Texas, and Machelle Andrews of Cedar Hill, Texas; two sons, Castedarial Tate of Tulsa, Okla., and Arland Tate of Shreveport, La.; three sisters, Faye Parker, Annie Tate and LouAnn Tate, all of Gilmer; two brothers, Lonnie Tate and Artis Tate, both of Houston; and 11 grandchildren.

Chuck Teng

Chuck Teng, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born Dec. 28, 1915, in Canton, China. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired entrepreneur.

He is survived by his wife, Stella; three sons, Richard, Vitus and Francis; three daughters, Rosa, Teresa and Tina; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service Friday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Dorothy Terefenko, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 27, 1915, in Lebanon, Pa. A resident for 46 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Polka Booster Club of Las Vegas.

She is survived by one son, Robert; two daughters, Geraldine Garcia and Linda Rumble, one sister, Mary Guzzy, and one brother, Roy Boich, all of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
