The UNLV women's tennis team returned to the nation's top 25 this week with a nine-spot jump in the season's ninth edition of the Omni Hotels Intercollegiate Tennis Rankings released Wednesday.
UNLV (11-3), which went 3-0 over the weekend, moved to No. 24 after tumbling to 33rd last week. The men's program and no singles or doubles players were ranked this week.
The women's team is preparing for Friday's league showdown with No. 32 San Diego State (13-3), which is tied with the Rebels for first place in the Mountain West Conference at 2-0. The match begins at 2 p.m. at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
