Spend money at home first

At times I am troubled when conversing with some fellow veterans. They tell me they no longer are patriotic because we no longer are the same America. Speaking for myself, I remain patriotic.
I can, however, empathize with their thinking. We are now about to spend $100 billion or more invading Iraq, and who knows how many tens of billions to rebuild what we destroy in Iraq. Then add $15 billion to $30 billion for the use of Turkish air bases.
Our elected officials can always find a way to appropriate funds for war and their pork barrel schemes, currently some $20 billion more. The only problem they have is finding a way to come up with funds where they are really needed, in America, for Americans!
Washington reeks of hypocrisy, and that is true of both Republicans and Democrats. We need another American revolution to wake up the idiots in government.
