Locals’ operator introduces new jackpot promotion
Thursday, March 27, 2003 | 11:13 a.m.
Station Casinos Inc. has launched a new jackpot promotion for members of the company's slot club loyalty card program.
The "Jumbo Jackpot Boarding Pass Bonus" allows players to win a random bonus jackpot of up to $150,000, which is paid immediately in cash even if the customer does not have a winning combination on the machine.
Boarding Pass club members playing at any of the company's six Station-branded properties are eligible for the jackpot.
"We're rewarding our customers for playing with Station," said Stephen Cavallaro, chief operating officer of Station Casinos. "The Jumbo Jackpot can hit at any time, at any place, regardless of how many coins are played."
About 20 smaller jackpots will also be awarded daily at each of the six casinos, totaling over $2 million in free slot play a year, the company said.
The program builds on other Jumbo Jackpot offerings such as Jumbo Bingo, which launched nearly two years ago, and Jumbo Hold 'em Poker, introduced in February. Both jackpots have helped revitalize those games, the company said.
"This is not just another casino promotion," Cavallaro said. "The Jumbo Jackpot Boarding Pass Bonus will change the face of locals' gaming and represents a long-term commitment by Station Casinos ... the company has a competitive edge that cannot easily be duplicated by our competitors."
