Letter: No consideration for residents
Thursday, March 27, 2003 | 8:47 a.m.
There they are, one after another; airplane after airplane flying low overhead. The noise is deafening. It's like a nightmare. How can a government body be so insensitive? I'm in shock and awe.
No, I'm not watching the military action in the Middle East on television. I'm sitting on my patio near Blue Diamond Road and Interstate 15. Airliner after airliner passes a few thousand feet overhead, depriving me and my neighbors of peace and quiet, the reason we moved out here.
A couple of months ago the Federal Aviation Administration chose to change the primary flight path without so much as speaking to those affected. So thanks to the FAA, we in this area of the community have become victims of its insensitive bureaucratic power.
