Letter: Children will always die during wars
Thursday, March 27, 2003 | 8:47 a.m.
Mike O'Callaghan -- in his March 15 column, "Terror tears at the hearts of parents of all youths in Israel" -- mourns, as do I, the killing and terror that the Israeli and Palestinian youth must live with on a daily basis.
However, my mourning started more than 50 years ago when, during wartime, cities were bombed and burned without much thought about how many toddlers and youth lost their lives or were maimed. And no one was called to task for it.
Different objectives, same end results.
At this point, maybe God considers man to be his biggest disappointment.
