Spoonhour heads back to work after vacation

Charlie Spoonhour returned to work at his Thomas & Mack Center office on Tuesday following a short vacation in Florida, putting to rest a report that he was considering stepping down after his second year as UNLV's basketball coach.
"There's nothing to write about," Spoonhour said.
UNLV athletic director John Robinson, who was caught by surprise by the speculation, said he would be stunned if Spoonhour, 63, wasn't coaching the Rebels next season.
"He's back and he's talking about next year and all that," Robinson said. "He hasn't made some statement (about his future) for history, but I would be shocked if he's not back."
