A consortium of Internet service providers plans a new trade show in Las Vegas in October.
The ISP Exchange has been scheduled at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center Oct. 28-29. The event will be produced by ISP-Market LLC, Walnut Creek, Calif.; I$P Report, Boulder, Colo.; and Shorecliff Communications LLC, a San Juan Capistrano, Calif.-based subsidiary of Landmark Communications Inc., Norfolk, Va. Landmark, a multimedia company, owns KLAS-TV Channel 8, the CBS affiliate for Las Vegas.
Paul Diemer, event director of Shorecliff Communications, said the inaugural event is expected to draw 500 people and feature between 30 and 60 exhibitors.
The company also announced that it is returning its Tower Summit and Trade Show to Las Vegas after a one-year hiatus. That event, which drew 1,500 people and 130 exhibitors to New Orleans last year, will be conducted at Mandalay Bay at the same time as the ISP Exchange.
