Walters will be honored for giving

Opportunity Village, the Southern Nevada nonprofit organization that serves people with intellectual disabilities, is recognizing developer Billy Walters for his support of the organization.

Walters is an Opportunity Village board member and has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to the organization, officials said.

The dinner in Walters' honor will be 6:30 p.m. April 1 at Green Valley Ranch Station Casino, 2300 Paseo Verde Parkway, Henderson.

The event will include a progress report about the Christopher Smith Endowment for Recreation and Arts.
