Lawsuit back in federal court

An Indian tribe that filed a lawsuit six years ago, claiming the city's process of awarding gambling licenses to casinos is unconstitutional, is back in federal court. The Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians returned to the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati on Monday after settlement negotiations failed for a second time, the Detroit Free Press reported Tuesday.
