Workshop teaches spiritual healing
Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry will conduct two workshops from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the Barbara Greenspun WomensCare Center of Excellence, 100 N. Green Valley Parkway, Suite No. 330.
The program is multi-level educational program that teaches hands-on healing from the Judeo-Christian scriptures.
The program offers continuing education units for nurses, and is open to the public.

Seniors can learn about skin cancer
University Medical Center's Senior Celebrations program is sponsoring a skin cancer seminar at 9 a.m. Wednesday at The Family Resource Center, 1120 Shadow Lane.
Oncologist Daniel Kirgan will discuss the many forms of skin cancer, the latest in treatment options, and how to protect against the desert sun.
Senior Celebrations is a free health education program for adults 50 and older.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International
Nevada chapter is hosting its 19 annual Spring Gala from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at Mandalay Bay to help raise money for diabetes research. For more information about JDRF and to reserve your seat, call 732-4795.
Youth Rally set for Lorenzi Park
The seventh annual Youth Rally will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 26 at Lorenzi Park, near Washington Avenue and Rancho Drive. The event will include singing, dance, food and drinks.

Vietnam wall replica to visit
A replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall will be on display at Liberty Pointe, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway, in Henderson this week.
"The Wall That Heals" will open to the public after a 10 a.m. ceremony Thursday that will pay tribute to those who have fought and those who are fighting to protect the nation's freedoms.
At 3 p.m. Sunday, a closing program will include a wreath laying ceremony. Local veterans groups and individuals can lay wreaths at the wall to honor comrades, friends and loved ones.
Magazine to host Child Haven event
A Las Vegas-based hip-hop magazine will host a benefit dinner Friday for Child Haven, the county shelter for abused, neglected or abandoned children.
Undiscovered The Magazine and Ricwen Group are presenting An Evening with Child Haven in the Emerald Ballroom at Fitzgeralds on Fremont Street. Call 804-5455 for reservations or more information.
