Work begins on furniture market

World Market Center Co-managing Partner Shawn Samson spoke at the groundbreaking for the 1.6-million-square-foot wholesale home furnishing showroom in downtown Las Vegas on Friday.
In an interview published this week in In Business Las Vegas, a sister newspaper to the Las Vegas Sun, Samson explained why Las Vegas was chosen for the market. Its first phase is valued at $200 million.
