Eileen M. Andersen

Eileen M. Andersen, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born May 4, 1921, in Chicago. A resident for 37 years, she was a retired Clark County School District bus driver.

She is survived by three sons, Nick Emeterio of Califonia, Jerry Emeterio of Canyon Country, Calif., and Billy Emeterio of Van Nuys, Calif.; one brother, Peter Mortenson of Henderson; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth R. Boney

Elizabeth R. Boney, 76, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born May 24, 1926, in Asheville, N.C. A resident for three years, she was a retired department store hardware buyer.

She is survived by one son, Bruce Boney of Henderson; one daughter, Beverley Strouse of Las Vegas; one sister, Madeline Foufos of Portland, Ore.; and three grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Doris L. Brandly

Doris L. Brandly, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Jan. 14, 1928, in Minnesota.

She is survived by her husband, Ron.

Carma Tabor Clark

Carma Tabor Clark, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 12, 1925, in Richfield, Utah. A resident since the early 1950s, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by four daughters, Sherrie Ann Looker of Taft, Calif., Lynne Renee Siddall and Jannice Joy White, both of Las Vegas and Suzanne Presby of Moreno Valley, Calif.; one sister, Shirley E. Larson of Orem, Utah; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Laura Coleman

Laura Coleman, 46, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born Feb. 12, 1957, in Yonkers, N.Y. A resident for 20 years, she owned and operated an architectural drafting service and was a member of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.

She is survived by her husband, James; one daughter, Jill Coleman of Henderson; one son, Sean Coleman of Lee's Summit, Mo.; her mother, Elizabeth Phillips of Tucson; one sister, Barbara Corona, and one brother, Scott Phillips, both of New Orleans; and two grandchildren.

Carroll Wayne Cooper, 65, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1938, in Matador, Texas. A resident for 36 years, he was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Teamsters Local 12.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor "Nora"; two daughters, Denise Cooper of Carlsbad, N.M., and Regina Ramirez of Las Vegas; one son, Jesse Ramirez III of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will be in Matador.

Nick Digiacomo

Nick Digiacomo, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A carpenter, he was born Jan. 24, 1929, in Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his wife, Doloren Digiacomo of Pittsburgh.

Lois Mae Dillow

Lois Mae Dillow, 74, of Las Vegas died Feb, 18, in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 2, 1929, in Illinois. A resident for six years, she was a thrift store supervisor.

She is survived by one son, Richard Simons; three daughters, Linda Hixon, Patricia Mathers and Janet Robins; two brothers, Ralph and Otis Dillow; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Gary Edwards

Gary Edwards, 64, of Jean died Wednesday in Jean. He was born May 30, 1938, in Missouri. A resident for seven years, he was a retired truck driver and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; one son, Ronald Thompson of Lancaster, Calif.; two daughters, Peggy Postlewait of Bellflower, Calif., and Suetta Eckles of Texas; his mother, Berniece Edwards, and three brothers, Joe Edwards, Alan Edwards and Tom Edwards, all of Joplin, Mo.; and six grandchildren.

Margaret Geng, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 5, 1933, in Mississippi. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Beryl; one son, William Luttinen; one daughter, Catherine Luttinen; one brother, Charles Irvine; one sister, Jo Irvine; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Laurie Ann Gonzales, 40, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 19, 1963, in Wisconsin. A resident for 24 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Ricardo; two sons, Michael J. and Adam D.; her mother, Maureen B. Gelsone; one brother, Anthony A. Gelsone; and her cousin, Cheri Veliz.

Alan Raymond Gute

Alan Raymond Gute, 62, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 3, 1940, in Carroll, Iowa. A resident since the 1980s, he was a small equipment mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; two daughters, Sherry of Nevada and Patsy of California; two sons, David of California and Robert of Nevada; his mother, Mary, and one sister, Jane, both of Iowa; four brothers, Delbert and Frank, both of Iowa, Duane of California and Jerry of Texas; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled until a 6 p.m. service today, and a service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

Erin Lee Himes-Smith

Erin Lee Himes-Smith, 35, of Seattle died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 7, 1967, in Salt Lake City. A former Las Vegas resident for 32 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her parents, John R. and Shannon Himes of Las Vegas; one brother, Tony Himes of Prescott, Ariz.; and her fiance, Bryan Kettler of Seattle.

Karen Lea Jones

Karen Lea Jones, 64, of Las Vegas died Feb. 11 in a local hospital. She was born July 18, 1938, in Texas. A resident for 45 years, she was a clerk at Dewey Animal Clinic for 20 years, worked in several animal-related shows and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at My Father's House Church, 3910 E. Patrick Lane. Burial will be private. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Ruth Klapman

Ruth Klapman, 93, of Las Vegas died March 6 in a local hospital. A resident for 13 years, she was born May 30, 1909, in Poland.

She is survived by two daughters, Adrienne Friedman and Merle Roth; one son, Norman Klapman; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Steven Hal Knittle, 52, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 25, 1950, in Tacoma, Wash. A resident for 11 years, he was a room service captain at a hotel.

He is survived by his companion, Shelly Jaffe of Las Vegas; and one sister, Shaivaun Claire-Marie of Washington state.

Hazen 'Bud' LaDuke

Hazen "Bud" LaDuke, 76, of Overton died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 2, 1926, in Norwalk, Conn. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired peace officer, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of Masonic Lodge 44 and the York Rite.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki; one daughter, Linda Rhodes of Klamath River, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Mary M. Maxell

Mary M. Maxell, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. An office manager, she was born July 4, 1933, in Ohio.

She is survived by her husband, Russell of Canton Township, Mich.

Florence Lucille Meininger

Florence Lucille Meininger, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Ogden, Utah. She was born Jan. 30, 1917, in Texas. A resident for 70 years, she was a retired Clark County microfilm operator, a member of the Elks and Moose.

She is survived by one daughter, Deanna Holmes of Ogden; one son, Edward Meininger of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Margaret E. Penrod, 87, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 27, 1915, in Lincoln, Neb. A resident for 55 years, she was a secretary.

L.K. 'Sandy' Sanders

L.K. "Sandy" Sanders, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1924, in Madison, Iowa. A resident for one year, he was a retired heavy equipment operator who worked on highway construction and was a World War II and Korean War Navy and Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Helen D.; two daughters, Susan Sincock of Simi Valley, Calif., and Debra Schaper of Las Vegas; one brother, Glen Sanders of Childress, Texas; two sisters, Gloria Wallin of Elk City, Okla., and Rosemary Sanders of Arkansas; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Ellen Schulze of Long Beach, Calif., and Paula Day of Tucson; one brother, Bob Kaelin of Riverhead, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.

Joseph Charles Schwartz

Joseph Charles Schwartz, 50, of Las Vegas died March 7 in Las Vegas. He was born May 29, 1952, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a glazier and a member of Glaziers Local 201.

He is survived by his mother, Amy Schwartz, and one brother, Robert Schwartz, both of Las Vegas.

Ralph Wilson, 68, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 16, 1935, in Des Moines, Iowa. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired computer engineer in the telecommunications industry.

He is survived by his wife, Judith; three daughters, Linda O'Brien of San Jose, Calif., and Cindy Arriaga and Suzanne M. Boggs, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Roy Wilson of Las Vegas; one sister, Lorene Wilson of Los Angeles; and five grandchildren.

Robert Wood

Robert Wood, 74, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A utilization review man, he was born April 18, 1928, in Springfield, Ill.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; and two sons, William Wood of Las Vegas and Charles Stier of Illinois.

Muriel D. 'Micky' Zentner

Muriel D. "Micky" Zentner, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 7, 1927, in New York City. A resident for 12 years, she was a sales and marketing employee at Durakool, a member of Mensa, a volunteer police photo laboratory technician and a lifetime blood donor for the Red Cross.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra E. Priest of Glenside, Pa.; one son, David N. Plotkin of Shingle Springs, Calif.; one brother, Arnold S. Zentner of Sarasota, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

Services were set for 2 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Florida.
