The 15-year-old boy charged with killing a Las Vegas man in his Peccole Ranch home was arraigned Thursday in District Court.
Mark Ford appeared before District Judge Joseph Bonaventure after being indicted by a grand jury on charges stemming from the stabbing death of Vincent Gomes, 56.
Bonaventure entered a not-guilty plea on Ford's behalf after the boy declined to enter a plea at the time of the hearing.
Ford faces three felony counts, which include murder, burglary while in possession of a deadly weapon and invasion of the home.
His trial is scheduled for May 12.
Police say Ford broke into the home in the Wellington Park gated community near Grand Canyon Drive and Sahara Avenue intending to rob it and attacked Gomes when he discovered him home.
Gomes called 911 saying someone had broken into his home and was stabbing him.
