Baseball
Palo Verde 11, Bartlesville (Okla.) 1: Cameron Rios went the distance for the Panthers, allowing four hits and striking out four. Chris Cassell went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs, Trevor Ehlers doubled twice and drove in two runs, and Mark Sayas had a double and three RBIs.
Las Vegas 4, Bartlesville (Okla.) 0: The Wildcats received a strong effort from Pete White, who struck out nine in a complete-game one-hitter. Cameron Johnson and Bryan Renfrow both recorded two hits and an RBI, and Robert Ashworth had two hits and two runs.
Durango 14, Mojave 2 (5 inn.): Nick Kilby allowed five hits and no earned runs, striking out five in the Blazers' win. Brandon Graff drove in four runs, while Anthony Iaconanni went 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Chris Stiles and Emilio Gonzales combined to knock in another five runs for Durango.
Boys' Volleyball
Silverado def. Palo Verde, 25-10, 27-25, 25-23: Dave Peterson recorded 10 kills and Jordan Gibson added eight kills for the Skyhawks. For Palo Verde, Peter Rigg totaled 12 kills and 11 digs, while Thomas Steffen had seven kills and four blocks. Schedule
