CINCINNATI -- A Las Vegas sales executive has been hired as the chief convention salesman for the Greater Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau.
As vice president of sales for the bureau, Mark Wallisa will oversee eight salespeople responsible for signing up conventions and trade shows, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
Wallisa had been regional vice president of sales and marketing for Las Vegas-based GES Exposition Services, a trade show contractor. He also has owned a convention-consulting firm in New York and worked as chief operating officer for the trade and consumer show firm Blenheim Group, the Enquirer said.
