Additional Wichita flight planned in May

Allegiant Air will add a fifth weekly round-trip flight between Las Vegas and Wichita, Kan. beginning May 21.

Allegiant, which has its corporate headquarters in Las Vegas and its operational center in Fresno, Calif., already has four flights a week between Las Vegas and Wichita Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday. The fifth flight will operate on Wednesdays.

An Allegiant spokesman said strong demanded resulted in the decision to add the flight. The flights will be operated on twin-engine MD-87 and MD-83 jets.
