Baseball
Sierra Vista 11, Chaparral 1 (5 inn.): Chad Riddle picked up the victory for the Lions, who are off to a 5-0 start.
Centennial 1, Green Valley 0 (9 inn.): The Bulldogs scored an unearned run in the ninth inning to win. Andy Primas pitched eight innings of three-hit ball to pick up the victory, and J.C. Leach earned the save.
Softball
Durango 3, Valley 0: Sarah Bako struck out 16 en route to a no-hitter for the Blazers. Lyni Randal went 3-for-3 with an RBI.
Sierra Vista 10, Chaparral 0 (5 inn.): Rebecca Rumsey tossed a no-hitter for the Lions. Stacey Burgos homered and Danielle Martinez drove in two runs for Sierra Vista.
Cimarron-Memorial 9, Basic 3 (10 inn.): Elizabeth Brooks hit a two-out, two-run double to tie the game in the sixth inning, then slapped a run-scoring single to put the Spartans ahead for good in the 10th inning. Kim Adams pitched all 10 innings to pick up the win for Cimarron, allowing five hits and striking out 10.
Boulder City 6, Needles 0: Tish Hernandez and Chelsey Friedman both doubled and drove in two runs as the Eagles rolled.
Palo Verde 4, Foothill 3: The Panthers scored the winning run on a late passed ball, and Lindsey Calloway picked up the victory. For Foothill, Ashley Nill fanned eight and Roxanne Ritchie stole home.
Coronado 11, Mojave 1: Candice Harris tripled twice, and Brittany Loisel and Nyshele Miller both picked up two hits as the Cougars cruised.

Boys' Volleyball
Las Vegas def. Vo-Tech, 25-15, 25-11, 25-15: Jayson Gifford had 23 assists and three aces for the Wildcats. Jesse Dabney and Justin Cross both totaled six kills.
Mojave def. Sierra Vista, 25-19, 25-16, 23-25, 25-22: Matt Rafferty totaled 26 assists and five blocks, while Tam Kim put down eight kills to lead the Rattlers. Jared Walker had 23 assists for the Lions.
