Robinson returns to work following heart attack

Exactly two weeks to the day after having a heart attack and surgery to clear a blockage in his right artery, UNLV football coach and athletic director John Robinson was back in his office at the Lied Athletic Complex.
"I'm working, baby!" Robinson, 67, said Monday afternoon.
Robinson, who has been doing some work out of his home while recuperating, isn't quite ready to put in the 12-hour days he was accustomed to before his illness.
"I'm trying to go home by the middle of the afternoon this week," he said. "I get up and go do my rehab in the morning and then come here after that. It's (Easter) vacation at school this week, so things aren't quite as hectic anyway around here."
Robinson, who has already lost 9 pounds thanks to a strict diet, said he will be undergoing 31 monitored workouts before he is cleared to work out on his own.
UNLV begins spring practice next Tuesday at Rebel Park.
"I can't wait to get going," Robinson said.
