Letter: Polls do not reflect truth
Tuesday, March 18, 2003 | 8:57 a.m.
I sit here in stunned amazement as I view the latest polls that show America's support for George W. Bush's war and his handling of the economy. It seems that the responders live in a different world or view what has happened through a strange pair of glasses.
I think the results of the polls would be different if people would ask themselves two questions about Bush's stewardship since he moved into the White House in January of 2001: Is the world now a safer place to live? Is the world's and our nation's economy stronger?
People should muse over everything that has transpired, think about their answers, and then cast their votes consistent with their answers and respond accordingly. I am sure the polls would not be as they are today.
