Letter: Revolution in U.S. not such a radical idea
Monday, March 17, 2003 | 8:51 a.m.
In a recent edition of the Sun, one of your letter writers advocated revolution. As wild as most people would view that statement, the Founders of our country said the very same thing. When the government gets too big and out of control, throw it out.
While G.W. Bush tries to police the whole world, he ignores our problems. Our gasoline prices have gone out of sight, our stock market is trashed, insurance is unobtainable for about half of the population, our streets are overrun with homeless people, there is pollution, and the water shortage is out of control.
G.W. wants the Iraq oil so he can control the oil of the whole world thus being able to implement his daddy's New World Order.
Desert Storm used up our supply of smart bombs and missiles, so in the last 12 years corporations like Rockwell International have been resupplying the military.
Yucca Mountain is another debacle that needs attention. The people of Nevada are getting something shoved down our throats that will be rendered useless for the next l0,000 years. Like the DOE has a miracle container that will last that long.
We need to write and call our politicians, and it would behoove all of us if their names and addresses were published daily in the newspaper.
If I sound like a radical, so be it, and I haven't even touched on the waste of water on desert lawns and golf courses.
