Letter: Iraqis are dying under Saddam

Anti-war demonstrators talk about the loss of Iraqi lives if we go to war. Iraqis are dying right now under Saddam. If we do nothing this will continue, but if we depose Saddam, even though some lives will be lost, at least there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.

Have the "human shields" considered that Iraqis are willing to accept some loss of life to get rid of Saddam?

During World War II my family and I were living in Czechoslovakia and Americans were bombing the retreating German Army. The factory where my mother worked was hit and my mother was wounded. She was the only one in her building left alive, yet I never heard anyone say anything except, "Thank God, the Americans have come."
