Letter: Give peace a chance — again
Wednesday, March 12, 2003 | 8:52 a.m.
I agree with Glen J. Gillette's March 6 letter criticizing Dawn Richey. It is ludicrous to think that a nation that has weapons of mass destruction will not use them. However, in Mr. Gillette's long litany of aggressive acts of nations against others, he failed to mention the only nation that actually used nuclear weapons against another.
All we are saying is give peace a chance! We gave it a chance after the Cuban missile crisis and and after 11 years of war in Vietnam. Guess what? It worked.
