Slayings suspect clears way for extradition

Alfonso "Slinkey" Blake, who is charged with two slayings, signed a waiver of extradition this morning in a San Bernardino, Calif., court, clearing the way for Nevada authorities to bring him back to Las Vegas.
Blake, 33, was wanted for shooting three women March 5, killing two, in a desert area in southwest Las Vegas. He fled after the shootings but was caught three days later in Barstow, Calif.
A clerk in San Bernardino Superior Court said Blake was scheduled for a hearing this morning to initiate extradition proceedings, but the hearing was not held because Blake chose not to fight extradition.
He could be brought back to Las Vegas later this week.
