Builder expands to Atlanta

LOS ANGELES -- KB Home, one of the country's biggest residential builders and the largest in Las Vegas, said it bought Atlanta-based Colony Homes, a major player in the Southeast market.
Last year, Colony produced revenues of $244 million. The company sold 1,872 homes -- 1,052 in the Atlanta area, 544 in Raleigh, N.C., and 276 in Charlotte, N.C.
The company has about 8,200 lots in those markets.
Terms of the sale were not announced.
