David Charles Alabn
David Charles Alabn, 69, of Las Vegas died Dec. 31, 2002, in a local hospital. A radio disc jockey and a Navy veteran, he was born Aug. 4, 1933, in New York.
He is survived by his mother, Anne Fogarty, and one brother, Michael L. Fogarty, both of Patchogue, N.Y.
Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Frank Basso
Frank Basso, 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 7, 1947, in Italy. A resident for 25 years, he was a construction company owner.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie C.; three sons, Joe Basso of Los Angeles and Nick Basso and Frankie Basso, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Licia Valente of Cleveland and Elvira Minotti of Switzerland; and one brother, John Basso of Cleveland.
Services will be noon Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Agnes Belle Bell
Agnes Belle Bell, 87, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 22, 1915, in Jennings, Kan. A resident for 26 years, she was a schoolteacher in Kansas and retired after 26 years as an industrial relations representative for the state of California.
She is survived by two daughters, Roxy Stutzman of Las Vegas and Patricia L. Cowles of Westminster, Calif.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests donations to Child Evangelism Fellowship.
George Fiala
George Fiala, 55, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A controller, he was born May 25, 1947, in Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Ohio. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Holli Knight-Evans
Holli Knight-Evans, 47, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born March 21, 1955, in Pontiac, Ill. A resident for 25 years, she was a receptionist in the gaming industry.
She is survived by her husband, Bubba; her father, Karl A. Knight of San Diego; and one sister, Karla A. Knight of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 5 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.
The family suggests donations to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, UT 84741.
Jerry C. Langman
Jerry C. Langman, 75, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 2, 1927, in Cleveland. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired engineer in the gaming industry, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Operating Engineers and Jewish War Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; two sons, Steve Langman and Dale Langman, both of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 3-4 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Carlos Marion Mayes
Carlos Marion Mayes, 67, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born June 4, 1935, in Mounds, Ind. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired government supervisor, a Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran and a member of Tommy J. Stanton Elks Lodge 1735.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah; 10 daughters, Pamela Davis, Tamera Washington, Rochelle Phelps, Cynthia Martin and Renila Duperme, all of North Las Vegas, Sonya Manning of Fort Worth, Texas, Carla Sauls of San Antonio, Janice Cannon of St. Louis and Bridgette Robinson and Venita Dixon, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Daryl Mayes of Chicago, Billy McGee of Las Vegas and Romelo Mayes of North Las Vegas; three sisters, Bernice Kelly and Joyce Davenport, both of Flint, Mich., and Ophelia Morrell of South Bend, Ind.; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is private. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Edward W. Moore
Edward W. Moore, 86, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 18, 1916, in Bonham, Texas. A resident for seven years, he retired as a millwright from Ford Motor Co. in 1979 after 33 years, was a World War II Army veteran and is a graduate of Langston University in Langston, Okla.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline I.; two stepdaughters, Victoria D. Coleman of Las Vegas and Gizelle L. Bassett of Carbondale, Ill.; two sisters, Electra Baker and Barbara Antoine, both of Ardmore, Okla.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Bruce J. 'Lil Wood' Motsinger
Bruce J. "Lil Wood" Motsinger, 41, of Las Vegas died Friday. He was born Nov. 8, 1961, in Modesto, Calif. A resident for 20 years, he was a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Henley; one son, Peter Reddekoff of Oregon; one daughter, Jackie Mobley of Las Vegas; his father, James Motsinger of Henderson; his mother, Anna Salsi of Monmouth, Ore.; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 3 p.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
Lucia M. O'Neill
Lucia M. O'Neill, 46, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 26, 1956, in California. A resident for 25 years, she was a sales representative for Sony.
She is survived by one daughter, Shannon O'Neill, and her parents, William and Lucia Hamilton, all of Las Vegas; three brothers, Fred Hamilton of Virginia, William Hamilton of Las Vegas and Robert Hamilton of California; and one sister, Judith Berthhold of Indiana.
Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
Robert R. Raehrs
Robert R. Raehrs, 77, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 14, 1925, in Coalinga, Calif. A resident for three years, he was a retired aerospace engineer, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Rebecca Newman of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Susan Simon of Los Angeles; one stepdaughter, Vicki Russell of Las Vegas; one stepson, Robert Pedersen of Nevada; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Graveside services will follow at noon Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Glen A. Reese
Glen A. Reese, 63, of Reno died Wednesday in Carson City. He was born March 27, 1939. A former Las Vegas resident from 1969 to 1999, he served as president of Nevada Credit Union League.
He is survived by one son, Randall of Chicago; one daughter, Tracey of New York City; and one sister, Arlene of Olympia, Wash.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Mountain View Mortuary, Reno. Burial will be in Pocatello, Idaho.
The family suggests donations to Credit Union House, 403 C St. N.E., Washington, D.C. 20002.
Nhay Sayasane
Nhay Sayasane, 96, of Henderson died Thursday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 6, 1913, in Laos. A resident for 24 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Kam Sayasane of Henderson.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main.
Todd Franklin Stastny
Todd Franklin Stastny, 64, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 30, 1938, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A former Las Vegas resident, he owned Todd's Lounge in Henderson and had taught and coached football in Omaha, Neb.
He is survived by one brother, Kimm Stastny of Lake Zurich, Ill.; and one sister, Leni Stastny of Cedar Rapids.
Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., assisted Papich-Kuba Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids with arrangements.

Verlene W. Sullivan
Verlene W. Sullivan, 81, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born Sept. 30, 1921, in Hurricane, Utah. A resident for 62 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Leon; two daughters, Leslie Mainor of Las Vegas and Kerrie Lough of San Diego; two sons, Jeff Sullivan of Henderson and Brian Sullivan of Reno; one brother, J. Marlan Walter of Henderson; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Ocean Street LDS chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Hurricane City Cemetery.
Boksun Whang
Boksun Whang, 92, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 30, 1911, in Seoul, Korea. A resident for two years, she was retired and was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Chung Ryan of Chantilly, Va., and Gilcha Kim of Fairfax, Va.; one son, Pyung Hwang of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon until a 2 p.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
