Crime prevention topic of meeting

Metro Police, the Bolden Area Command Citizens Advisory Council, Clark County Martin Luther King Neighborhood Services and West Las Vegas business owners will hold a community meeting at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the West Las Vegas Library, 951 W. Lake Mead Blvd.
Discussions will consist of ways to reduce and prevent crime in West Las Vegas, an economically depressed area near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Bonanza Road.
Topics to be discussed include a new program to raise money to pay witnesses who provide information that leads to a conviction in crimes and about crimes affecting area businesses and homeowners.
