UNLV head football coach and athletic director John Robinson, who underwent surgery to repair blockage in an artery Monday afternoon following a heart attack, was released from St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson on Thursday.
Robinson, 67, is expected to spend at least a week at home recuperating and undergoing a rehabilitation program before returning to work at UNLV.
"He's doing well," said son David Robinson, a Rebels assistant football coach. "He's feeling good. They said that there was no permanent damage done to his heart."
UNLV is scheduled to begin spring football practice March 25.
