Seminars planned for aspiring firefighters

Las Vegas and North Las Vegas will be accepting applications for firefighter trainee Dec. 1-31, a highly competitive process that includes a written exam scheduled for January and a physical ability exam scheduled for March 2004.
Those interested in applying can get information on the process at five upcoming seminars:
Applicants must have valid certification as an emergency medical technician, be 18 years old, have an appropriate driver's license and a high school diploma or GED at the time of application. Some firefighting experience and college-level coursework in fire science, administration or other fire-related field is desirable.
