GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Another big furniture company has signed up for a planned wholesale furniture market in Las Vegas.
The Greensboro News & Record reported that Lane Home Furnishings said it will lease a 20,000-square-foot showroom in the World Market Center, which will hold its groundbreaking later this month. Construction on its 1.3- million-square-foot first phase will start shortly after that, with its first market being held sometime in 2004 or early 2005.
Lane, remains committed to the International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, N.C., where it leases a 100,000-square-foot showroom, the News & Record reported.
The Las Vegas and North Carolina markets are wholesale shows, giving manufacturers an opportunity to market their goods to retail store owners.
Furniture manufacturers Broyhill and Klaussner earlier committed to the Las Vegas center.
