County’s Jorgensen plans retirement
Thursday, March 6, 2003 | 9:16 a.m.
Clark County business license Director Ardel Jorgensen announced her retirement this week.
Jorgensen is ending more than 25 years of work with the county, the last six as head of the Business License Department.
Her prior posts include director of budget and financial planning, chief financial officer for University Medical Center, and assistant director for business license.
Jorgensen agreed to remain at the office until July while a committee performs a replacement search.
Until then Jorgensen plans to continue her work at the department and assist in developing a protection plan against future incidents similar to the AeroTech fire in 2001.
