Assistant chief joins fire panel

Gov. Kenny Guinn has appointed Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Assistant Chief Eugene Campbell to a state training committee.
Campbell replaces Henderson Firefighter Brad Kreutzer, who is retiring from the Nevada Fire Service Standards and Training Committee.
The committee is responsible for reviewing and evaluating training programs considered for state use.
Campbell is currently assigned to division operations. He has been with Las Vegas Fire & Rescue for 14 years and has a bachelor's degree in education from UNLV.
