Ann Hopkins Armstrong
Ann Hopkins Armstrong, 76, of Panaca died Feb. 24 in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 4, 1926, in Atwater, Calif. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker and a World War II Army veteran.
She is survived by one daughter, Joanne Strussenberg of Henderson; two sons, Daryl Gault of Aptos, Calif., and Keith Marcher of Carson City; one sister, Martie Williams, and one brother, Ralph Brizzee, both of California; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 5:30 p.m. today in Faith Christian Fellowship, 421 S. Pacific Ave., Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Steve Marks
Steve Marks, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. A resident for 43 years, he was born Sept. 21, 1948, in Fordyce, Ark.
He is survived by two daughters, Denise Marks and Nichella Chambers, both of North Las Vegas; his mother and stepfather, Elizabeth and Clarence Anderson of Fordyce; two brothers, Russell Marks of Arkansas and Ronnie Marks of North Las Vegas; two sisters, Dorothy Henderson and Vertis "Pie" Armstrong, both of North Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Venea T. Poulos
Venea T. Poulos, 87, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born March 11, 1915, in Bingham Canyon, Utah. A resident for 69 years, she was a property owner, a founding member of St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, a member of Philoptochos Society, Daughters of Penelope, Senior Forerunners, Eastern Star and American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by one daughter, Christine Poulos, one son, Peter Poulos, and one brother, George Tsouras, all of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-3 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Trisagion will be 7 p.m. today in St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 El Camino Road. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park,

Melvin Stokich
Melvin Stokich, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 24, 1926, in Akron, Ohio. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired government electrical engineer, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of Masonic Lodge 32 and Eagles Lodge 1213.
He is survived by two sons, Gary S. Moore of Las Vegas and John Moore of St. George, Utah; two sisters, Helen Esakov and Millicent Stokich, both of Akron; two brothers, Lewis Stokich of Akron and Stephen Stokich of Riverside, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in St. Paul the Apostle Orthodox Church, 5400 Annie Oakley Drive. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul's. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Shirley Weiss
Shirley Weiss, 92, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born May 10, 1910, in Cleveland. A resident for eight years, she was a retired saleswoman.
She is survived by one daughter, Marlene Jones of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Eden Memorial Park, Mission Hills, Calif. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.
