Grocery Outlet Inc., a privately held "extreme-value" retailer, said today it has plans to open a second Las Vegas location next month at 703 N. Rancho Drive, just north of U.S. 95.
The Berkeley, Calif.-based company has a store at 1110 E. Charleston Blvd., just west of Maryland Parkway, that opened in 1994.
Grocery Outlet stores sell products at up to 40 percent less than competing supermarkets, discounters or warehouse stores, company officials said. Grocery Outlet remarkets product overruns, package changes and overstocked goods. It sells a variety of brand-name products, including frozen and refrigerated foods, dry groceries, health and beauty care, over-the-counter drugs, and general merchandise.
Grocery Outlet has 118 outlets in eight states, including Nevada.
