Free AIDS testing planned at clinics
The Clark County Health District Office of AIDS will offer free HIV testing from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Ravenholt Public Health Center, 625 Shadow Lane, Annex A.
Oral testing is available only at the Shadow Lane site, but other free tests are planned at North Las Vegas Public Health, 1820 E. Lake Mead, Suite F; East Las Vegas Public Health, 560 N. Nellis Blvd., Suite E-12; and Henderson Public Health, 129 W. Lake Mead Drive, Suite 1. Testing is free.
Conference on aging is scheduled
Attorney General Brian Sandoval urges senior citizens to attend the Attorney General's Conference on Aging and Senior Protection, hosted in partnership with the Southern Nevada Area Health Education Center.
The conference will be held at the Rio Thursday and Friday. Call 318-8452.
The Chinese community will host
"Under the Stars without SARS," a Hawaiian Night Out to honor the Clark County Health District, from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday at Chinatown Plaza, 4255 Spring Mountain Road. Call Alan Chen at 221-8448.
