Letter: GOP’s economy cure for obesity?

Regarding the reported epidemic of obesity in America, and a cure:

A time-tested solution to the cause of obesity should be remembered.

Keep the Republican Party in control of all government power on all levels, whether federal, state and local. Do this for the next 50 years.

During the Great Depression, all I saw were very skinny people.

After the 1929 crash on Wall Street, Herbert Hoover refused to do anything; he said it was a business cycle problem.

Every new generation has to learn the hard way. This new generation of Americans is seeing the same GOP attitude toward ordinary people, who will get skinny, and stay skinny for a long time, as long as the Republican Party has a complete control of government.
