Asia Guzman
Asia Guzman, 5, of Las Vegas died June 9 in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 4, 1997, in Las Vegas.
She is survived by her father, Trinidad Guzman; her mother, Sandra Masock; and two brothers, Talen Guzman and Trinidad Guzman.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Brett W. Johnson
Brett W. Johnson, 32, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 26, 1970, in Orange, Calif. A resident for five years, he was an auto mechanic.
He is survived by one daughter, Alyssa Johnson of Chico, Calif.; his mother and stepfather, Pamela and Tom Mastronado of Las Vegas; and one brother, Cris Johnson of Hemet, Calif.
A memorial service will be 5 p.m. June 28 in Christ Church Episcopal, 2100 S. Maryland Parkway. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Shirley G. Morgan
Shirley G. Morgan, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born May 28, 1916, in New York City.
She is survived by two daughters, Judith M. Drinkhall of Glen Ellen, Calif., and Patricia Ann Morgan of Oxnard, Calif.; two sons, David Huw Morgan of Richmond, Va., and Jack Gray Morgan of East Moline, Ill.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Rita Evelyn Newby
Rita Evelyn Newby, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Port Arthur, Texas. A resident for 49 years, she was a retired hotel PBX operator.
She is survived by one daughter, Sally Parker of Las Vegas; three sisters, Doris Thompson of Springdale, Pa., Bea Washlaski of Livonia, Mich., and Edna Dattola of Pennsylvania; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
Michael Corey Perlowin
Michael Corey Perlowin, 34, of Nevada died Monday in Nevada. He was born Dec. 20, 1968, in Nevada. He was a butler for a casino and a member of TKE Fraternity.
He is survived by his companion, Lori Thomas; his father, Mickey; his mother, Margie; and two sisters, Patti West and Bridgit May.
A memorial service was scheduled at 10 a.m. today at Guardian Angel Cathedral, 302 E. Desert Inn Road. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.
Erasmo A. Segundo
Erasmo A. Segundo, 61, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 25, 1941, in the Philippines. A resident for five years, he was a retired automotive salesman.
He is survived by one daughter, Danielle M. Weidner of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four brothers, Gualberto A. Segundo of North Las Vegas, Valentino A. Segundo of Arcadia, Calif., Nick A. Segundo of Hacienda Heights, Calif., and Sam A. Oronan of Redondo Beach, Calif.; one sister, Natividad S. Fernando of Salinas, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. until a 5 p.m. service Friday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
Jacob Robert Stewart
Jacob Robert Stewart, 13, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 24, 1989, in Pasadena, Calif. A resident for 11 years, he was a middle school student, and a member of Boy Scouts Troop 277.
He is survived by his parents, Howard and Debra Stewart, three sisters, Antonia Stewart, Sarah Stewart and Kristina Stewart, and one brother, Christopher Stewart, all of Henderson; and his grandparents, Robert N. and Verda T. Stewart of St. George, Utah, and Donald H. and Erna L. Johnson of Logan, Utah.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the LDS Mission Drive chapel, Henderson. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Mission Drive chapel, followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Wanda Cherry Thalman
Wanda Cherry Thalman, 90, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 22, 1913, in Idaho. A resident for 46 years, she worked in alterations.
She is survived by one daughter, Irene W. Hays of Las Vegas; one son, Earl Leslie Thalman of Utah; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Services and burial will be in Utah. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Iris Trafford
Iris Trafford, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 1, 1931, in North Dakota. A resident for 18 months, she was a Roller Derby skater.
She is survived by one son, James Vogt; two brothers, Mert and Elmer Ashacher; one sister, Irene Koffler; and five grandchildren.
